Help getting this AI thing actually set up.

I am Jon Claude Haines, a real person in Chester, Connecticut. I help individuals, families, and small-business owners turn ChatGPT, Claude by Anthropic, Google Workspace with Gemini, and other AI tools into something useful, personal, and understandable.

“How do I get this thing set up anyway?”
If that is roughly your question, you are in the right place. You do not need to learn a new vocabulary before calling me.

What “set it up” can mean

More than installing an app.

The useful part is helping the AI understand what you want from it, what it may use, what stays private, and how it should fit into the devices and information you already have.

01

Phone, tablet & computer

Get the right apps and accounts working across the devices you actually carry and use.

02

Voice & everyday use

Talk to it naturally, use photos and files, and leave with a few useful habits instead of a prompt-engineering course.

03

Personal instructions

Teach it your preferences, goals, vocabulary, ongoing projects, and the kind of help you do and do not want.

04

Files & trusted context

Connect or organize the right documents and information so answers can be grounded in your real material.

05

Privacy & ownership

Decide what belongs to you, your family, or your business and keep those boundaries clear from the beginning.

06

A setup you can keep using

Leave with a collaborator that has a name, a job in your life, and a simple path for getting better over time.

Project Bizzarria

Separate things stay themselves. Something useful grows at the connection.

That is the name of my personal AI onboarding work. The finish line is not “you attended an AI lesson.” It is that you have an AI collaborator you can open on your phone, speak to normally, and ask for help—with a clear understanding of what it knows and what it does not.

A practical first session

We start with the thing you wish it could help with.

You bring the messy version.

A confusing screen, a family project, a business task, too many files, an idea you cannot organize, or the feeling that you are paying for AI and barely using it.

  • No polished brief required
  • No need to choose the model first
  • No shame about what you do not know

I make the system usable.

I diagnose what would genuinely help, set up the smallest useful version, explain the important boundaries, and verify it on the real device before we stop.

  • Human decisions stay human
  • No unnecessary subscriptions
  • No pretending a demo is a finished setup

If the problem is bigger than ChatGPT

I do the rest of the department too.

Personal AI setup is one part of my current work. For owner-led businesses, I also take responsibility for broader problems across AI, systems, websites, automation, and marketing.

Small-business AI implementation

Choose useful models, build approval-aware workflows, connect company knowledge, and put AI into the actual work.

Business systems & automation

Repair handoffs, connect tools, organize data, automate repetitive work, and surface the decisions an owner needs to make.

Websites & custom web applications

Build public sites, private portals, intake systems, dashboards, and focused tools around a real customer or operating need.

Marketing operations & publishing

Connect the offer, message, content, search presence, lead intake, follow-up, and evidence that marketing is reaching real people.

Research, communication & digital operations

Find the truth in scattered evidence, prepare difficult communications, manage digital services, and carry approved work through delivery.

Fractional direction

Ongoing senior ownership across AI, systems, and marketing without adding a full-time executive position.

Local when local helps

Based in Chester, Connecticut.

I can work in person when the setup benefits from sitting together with the actual phone, computer, people, or pile of information. I also work remotely throughout Connecticut and beyond when that is easier.

Primary local service area

Chester, the lower Connecticut River Valley, the Connecticut Shoreline, Middlesex County, and nearby Connecticut communities. For larger business work, the geography can be wider.

Common questions

You can ask the basic question.

Can you help me set up ChatGPT on my phone?

Yes. We can get the app and account working, turn on useful features such as voice, set practical instructions and privacy boundaries, and make sure you can use it for something real before we stop.

Do I need to know anything about AI first?

No. Start by telling me what you wish it could help with. Choosing the right tool and translating the technical parts are my job.

Is this only for businesses?

No. I help individuals and families too. Personal projects, family information, writing, planning, technology help, research, organization, and simply learning how to talk to the thing are all reasonable places to start.

Do you only work with ChatGPT?

No. I work with ChatGPT, Claude by Anthropic, Google Workspace with Gemini, and other tools when they fit. You do not need to pick the brand before you know what you need.

Can you meet in person in Connecticut?

Yes. I am based in Chester and can work in person when being in the room makes the setup easier. Remote sessions are also available.

Are you affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google?

No. I am an independent consultant and am not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or other AI product companies. I help people decide which tools fit and how to use them.

Start in ordinary language

What do you wish this thing could help you do?

Text or email me the messy version. “I have ChatGPT on my phone and I have no idea what to do with it” is a completely sufficient first message.
